In-Office Rhinologic Procedures

In-Office Rhinologic Procedures Services

At Spokane ENT, we offer a range of in-office rhinologic procedures that address chronic rhinitis, nasal airway obstruction, and selected cases of chronic sinusitis—all without a trip to the operating room. These procedures are performed under local anesthesia in the office, with minimal downtime and rapid return to normal activities. They provide an alternative for patients who have not achieved adequate relief with medications alone but wish to avoid traditional sinus surgery when appropriate.

We offer RhinAer® for chronic rhinitis (runny nose, post-nasal drip, congestion), VivAer® for nasal airway obstruction and breathing improvement, ClariFix® cryotherapy for chronic rhinitis, and balloon sinuplasty for sinus dilation in selected patients. Each procedure targets specific anatomy or nerves to provide lasting symptom relief. Our team evaluates candidacy based on your symptoms, anatomy, and prior treatments to recommend the option that best fits your needs.

In-office procedures are ideal for many patients with chronic rhinitis or mild to moderate nasal obstruction. For those with more extensive sinus disease, nasal polyps, or complex anatomy, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) may be recommended instead. We will discuss all options with you and help you choose the most appropriate approach.

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer RhinAer for chronic rhinitis, VivAer for nasal airway obstruction, ClariFix for chronic rhinitis, and balloon sinuplasty for sinus dilation. These are performed in the office under local anesthesia with minimal downtime.

RhinAer uses temperature-controlled radiofrequency energy to treat overactive nerves and tissue in the nasal passages, reducing runny nose, congestion, and post-nasal drip in chronic rhinitis.

VivAer is an in-office procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to remodel the nasal airway, improving nasal breathing and airflow. Most patients return to normal activity the same day.

ClariFix uses cryotherapy to target overactive nerves in the nasal passages that cause chronic rhinitis symptoms. The procedure is performed in-office with local anesthesia.

Balloon sinuplasty uses a small balloon catheter to dilate blocked sinus openings, restoring drainage. It can be performed in-office for selected patients with chronic sinusitis.

In-office procedures are suited for chronic rhinitis, mild nasal obstruction, or selected sinus disease. If you have extensive sinus disease, polyps, or need more thorough surgery, FESS may be recommended. Your ENT will evaluate and recommend the best option.
