Dr. Eric Babajanian is an Otolaryngologist–Head and Neck Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Otology and Neurotology, focusing on disorders of the ear, temporal bone, and lateral skull base. A Southern California native, he grew up in Riverside and earned his undergraduate degree at UC San Diego. He received his medical doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating with honors and distinction in research.
Dr. Babajanian completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, followed by fellowship training in Otology/Neurotology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications reflecting his broad research interests in clinical outcomes, device development, and patient quality of life in otolaryngology and neurotology. His clinical expertise includes: hearing loss, cochlear implantation, acoustic neuroma/vestibular schwannoma, meningioma, paraganglioma/glomus tumor, lateral skull base disorders, facial nerve tumor/palsy, chronic ear disease, cholesteatoma, tympanic membrane perforation/retraction, otosclerosis, bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA, OSIA, Sentio, Bonebridge), external auditory canal lesions (stenosis, exostosis), Ménière's disease, labyrinthitis/vestibular neuritis, superior semicircular canal dehiscence, and Gamma Knife radiosurgery.
